First Credit Cards and now Expense Reimbursements

This entry was posted on 6/8/2007 7:47 PM and is filed under Expense Reimbursements.

After being shocked with the extravagant charges that PCM Senior Staff have expended with the Credit Cards paid for by GRF, we can now look forward to a second round of meals paid for by Expense Reimbursement checks. Trying to contain the issue within the boundaries of Credit Cards has been unsuccessful and the residents are now expanding their distaste with GRF/PCM to this alternative method of spending our assessments.

As the residents review these unwarranted expenses, the question arises concerning all of our Maintenance costs, "Are they also done with the same quality and fiduciary responsibility as is applied to our Expense Reimbursement Charges?"

An observation on the “evolution” of the expenses incurred on GRF credit cards.

Before any of the credit card billings were made available Milt Johns position on the use of the cards was explained as “emergency use only”. The explanation of the use has gone through an evolution as the bills were available and as details of the charges were known. Over several months, at the GRF board meetings, the “use” has changed. With the most recent June GRF board meeting, in a discussion that seemed to be aimed at making the use seem similar to other businesses, use of GRF cards took another new turn.

      Phase I “Emergency use only”

Phase II “Boring everyday business expenses”

      Phase III “Perks”

In the few days since I learned of the expense account abuses, I think the ones that revolt me the most are all the "review lunches." In my 34 years with my company, never have I nor anyone else I know, been taken to lunch to receive their review! And if it were a policy of my company to do internal company business with extravagant lunches, I know they would not charge those lunches to one of their customers! We are PCM’s customer--has PCM forgotten? THEY work for US! How dare they charge us for their cost of doing business?! And the "End of Audit" lunches--when we finish a huge project at work there is usually some sort of a celebration party--occasionally at a moderately priced restaurant, but usually in a conference room at work, with cookies and punch supplied. And yes, there is a "holiday party"--but my company pays for it--none of our customers do! How long has PCM been playing us for the fool? Board members: open your eyes, use your brains, and protect our monies from these thieves!

Sounds like you have no clue what goes on in the real world. After reading the comments and actually having the opportunity to meet a member of the "Voice", I am not impressed at all by your behavior or comments.

Now I see why PCM cannot do anything about LWV RAT infestation. I live hearing rats claw on the walls at night and eventually get in. I feel like I live in the ghetto. Our whole building is infested and I bet we aren't the only ones. PCM said they knew about it but we had to just get use to it. Rats, live in LWV and Pay over $500.00 a month a get use to living with RATS clawing at your walls.
Where's our oversight on PCM ? Where's the services we pay for every month. Obviously, the money is paying dinners and not exterminators. Enough is enough

I guess they need a long evolution to be made before something real will be possible.
